Savannah's Fashion Night...

It is Friday so let's end it with some fashion. Last night Savannah celebrated fashion and I was there to capture some of the action on and off the runway...

If you give a girl a dress...

She will want to do something with it...
She might want a new hairdo.
She might want to go out dancing or to a red carpet event.
She might even want to get married.
She might want shoes and jewelry to go with it.
She might want a limo ride and champagne.
She might want to Twerk in it but I decided to create art with the dress.

A few adventurous girls got together on a Sunday afternoon and created a photo story.
To follow the photo story of a girl inspired by the old graphic novelas I used to sneak and read...They were dramatic and romantic.

What did the story say as you went along?
What would you do with a beautiful dress other than wear it?

Happy Monday.

consciousness…

After I signed off on Friday to begin the fun weekend I saw a post from a fellow local photographer Josh Branstetter on his blog. The blog went on to relate the story of a bride he once photographed for her wedding the name of the bride is Sybil and he narrates to his readers about how unique the couple was and how in love they seem to have been but the love story took a big turn when Sybil went into the hospital for an emergency C section  this past March the 17th where she suffered brain trauma leaving her unconscious for 3 days before she passed. The baby is well  and stable in the NICU.  I post because Josh wishes to help that family after going through such pain and loss and because it touched me. I am sharing links to his post and blog because I know my sweet readers and fellow bloggers are kind, generous and motivated to spread the word and help in anyway possible. So in the meantime read Josh’s post, meet Sybil through the very beautiful images Josh captured on her wedding day and help him with his fundraising efforts for Baby Jack and family.
Until then stay sweet…

La Vie Boheme...

Bohemia is not dead. Bohemianism is the practice of an unconventional lifestyle, often in the company of like-minded people, involving musical, artistic or literary pursuits, with few permanent ties. In this context, Bohemians can be wanderers, adventurers, or vagabonds.  With that in mind I must tell you my little city never disappoints and contributes immensely to such lifestyle and she always rolls out the red carpet for me and my friends as if we were a bunch of Hollywood A list celebrities. The thing is we are not really wealthy but we do it with such style.
This weekend did not disappoint…We went to a couple of weddings and performances by friends… This was baby Mia’s 1st Wedding she behaved beautifully.

On Saturday we danced at the park under the full moon to drum beats, didgeridoos, glow sticks, lasers and all sorts of beautiful light sources…

“Life is the sacred mystery singing to itself, dancing to its drum, telling tales, improvising, playing”
