The Power Of Sunlight...

Inspired by sunlight I went about my weekend. It's like the earth is tilting at strange angles just for me...
In a blink of an eye all my loved ones are bathed in beautiful golden light.
Then they smile at me and I fall in love...
With them, the earth, the sun and the whole universe...
So I'd stop time with three blinks of my eyelashes...
I'd hear played out a symphony of sun and voices and laughter and I can still remember each note.

And there's the Georgia sunset that slays me. The golden hues mixed with blues and grays and reds make me lay down the paintbrush forever and pick up the camera. There is no way I can reproduce the clouds, colors and the depth that naturally form above me. I feel too restraint and constricted to be able to create such spirals and circular motions with such fluidity.

So many ideas came about this weekend... And while sucking dry the well of inspiration and ideas I have lined up just about every project and every image I wish to create this year. I am building some art pieces... again... more photos and images that need manifesting...
Making those visions and dream images come to real life.
I am making objects out of paper and I am learning so much from the medium.
We can create just about anything...
So I am...

Gracias Mami!

Spend Sunday inspired by friends that grow their own food...
I want chickens and pigs and maybe a peacock. And... No, I won't eat the peacock.

Hope your weekend was wonderful... Stay Sweet!

  2. You did a wonderful job taking those pictures. It has been cold and drab around here so I can't get out to work on mine.

  7. Great pics...the sun is indeed an inspirational light source. I find its importance immense since I use it as my main photography light source. :)

On a local note, where is our winter weather? This going back and forth from cold to semi-warm...well, I wish things would make up their minds. The warm days afford more comfortable trips outdoors, for more photo excursions, so I guess I really can't complain...

    Have a great weekend...

  8. I swear everytime I see your photos I'm inspired to take up my camera. But when I do I realize I still don't know how to use the thing to its full potential. You're inspiring me to take a course this year. Thanks for always sharing your beautiful images of your life with us!
