Art and Childhood Friends...

Well, by now you know how we do it in the SAV. Art everywhere... Everywhere I look... I see... art. Savannah celebrated the side-walk art festival this past weekend where artists from the local Savannah College of Art & Design create colourful chalk  art pieces on the side-walk of the very beautiful Forsyth Park.

Thousands came out to admire the beauty of the pieces.
A stroll through the park and art... bright..soulful.

Saturday night we went to dismantle the art show so sad when its all over.
But looking forward to all the new projects and a new show in the Fall...
We left the sadness behind and filled our tanks with what else...
More art...

I visited the Taste Art event where local performers and visual artist share in a collaboration for a one night only show. My sweet friend Anita is one of the organizers of this years event... I was in awe of the creativity...

And the bizarre...

Because how boring life would be...
Originality is a by-product of sincerity such pure concept can't be argued with...
It takes courage to be who you really are...

Music and Art seem to go hand in hand...

La Dulce Vida is Childhood Friends

Then Sunday... ahhhhh.
These two have been attached at the hip since the age of  four...
It has been so beautiful seeing them grow...
They keep me honest and grounded and a true original...
They have so much to teach to all the grown ups that seem to not be able to keep themselves rooted...
Their friendship is solid and loyal and they celebrate each others uniqueness.

Once I heard someone say...
The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart.

  2. Everytime I see your posts, I remember that I have a Canon SLR that I love and that I promised I would take photography classes to understand my camera better and hopefully help me take better pics. Today I made a step in the right direction. Thank you!

  4. Adriana, I have certainly been enriched by being here today. This is the place to come for a creative boost. Everything has charmed, from the sidewalk art festival, to the Taste Art event, to the parade of eccentrics, to your words which tied it all together into a delightful presentation. You got my vote – I went straight over and cast mine.

  8. I love the color texture in these pictures! The buttons (makes me want to run my fingers over it), the view-masters (hello-flashback!), the pine-cone unicorn, and cow on the stairs. Beautiful. Qué bonitas fotos tomas, Adriana. : D

  10. I love the button head! I have a big tub of buttons my mom used to let us play with as kids. It makes me want to find a fun way to display them!

And I love the girls and their mustaches! So cute.
