where the sun rises...

It's been so warm in my little town... as I drove up yesterday on I-95 to pick up my husband  I could feel the warmth of the sun heating my hands and face...The smell of spring and summer are all rolled into one. The license plates on all the cars travelling south point to all my neighbouring northern states and I take a deep breath which is followed by a sigh.

I am reminded how lucky I am to live in a place with such beauty and warmth. I take pride in knowing that I am sharing my little corner of heaven and I feel bad. Bad, because as they are taking in the beach's beauty...the Spanish moss dripping off the oak tress...the cobble stones and the amazing culinary creations through out my town...  They will have to return home eventually. Me? This place is mine... any-time I want it.

This weekend will be filled with some in and out time the perfect sew-saw of balance. We will play in the sprinklers, draw with chalk on the side walk attend a spring fling festival and cook a delicious Sunday meal for friends and family. Yes, all so sweet.
