Behind The Scenes... Birds Calling

Some of you have emailed and ask for more tutorials and behind the scenes on the shoots. I had never planned for such but from now on I will make sure to include a few tutorials and what not with each shoot. In the meantime... I leave you with a storyboard on the making of "Birds Calling"  

The sky and clouds were shot at a different time. I shoot many skies to later incorporate in my images. I later painstakingly painted the light on the clouds. The birds were also from a different time and place.  All these elements come together to create a one of a kind image.

A Quick Craft Project...

My husband found an old school desk in the trash around the neighborhood. It is a cool piece we know is old made out of wood but the paint was chipped and dirty to say the least. On Pinterest I saw the idea of covering furniture with fabric and here is what we did. 

I had some leftover fabrics from quilting projects that were never materialized.

After cutting and patching...

I also pasted 2 tiny stamp size images of Baby M on the desk part just in case she forgets who the tiny chair is for.
