3,600 Seconds...

Could it be possible that I am already mourning the weekend?
Friday morning came around seductively and with a touch of nostalgia.
A sunny cold and windy morning moved me to wrap my afghan around my shoulders...
I felt like one of those Victorian woman as I was sipping on my coffee looking out the window...
Watching the neighbors go about their day I wonder what my plans for the weekend will be.

A cool breeze blows my hair into my eyes and as I clear the way and brush off the finer of strands I decide that I will make no plans...

I will let it be...

I fear scheduling anything will make the time go faster and this Friday morning will be just a memory...
I fear if I say three o' clock this Saturday afternoon it will make it just so and this Friday will be just a memory... I fear to ask you to meet me downtown in one of the squares on Sunday morning before the church bells ring and Friday will be just a memory...

Then just as gently he brushes my hair off my face...
He reminds me come Sunday morning we get an extra 3,600 seconds...
Always giving me what I need I smile and say...
I will stand still and let it be...

Enjoy the weekend and the extra hour you might get...
Stay Sweet Peeps!

  1. I love getting an hour extra every year around this time. With all the hustle and bustle of the holidays the weekends seem to fly by way to fast.

Love the shot of the building and totally in love with the Spanish moss in the tree. I would almost give up my pecan orchard to have a few trees with Spanish moss in them in the yard.

Have a great rest of the weekend.
