High on life...

We have celebrated a birthday began the spring cleaning process and on the eve of another St. Patty's Day in Savannah. Savannah makes it a BIG deal  the city dyes all its fountains in green for the event and Savannah's parade started in 1824 now that's a lot of parading.

Most likely we won't be attending the parade this year. I have my first US based show and time is running out. I am so excited to be able to present my photography with a collective of local artists and for the benefit of Oatland Island Wildlife Refuge Center.

Yes, Spring has Sprung notice all the pollen see the yellow dust on my car... achooo

The show will open on the day my kid brother sent me my very first camera the one I used through Photography school back in the 80's. I saw it as fate and destiny plotting for my comeback to one of my favorite art mediums. The images I am capturing and the art installations I am building for such have taken my soul and spirit on a wild and creative journey. The birth of my children have proven to be a crucial part of my inspiration and growth. While some artists move away from their art when they have children all mine have done is inspire me in ways I did not think possible. I am more open and ready to be challenged and  I am looking at life in a more whimsical fashion.

This spring thing has me completely inspired. Hubby's Birthday happens on the Ides of March and that for me is the beginning and the birth of another Spring season. Right after his birthday we say hello to the garden hose... walking around barefooted... and making sure our days are way longer and our nights shorter.

He is so easy to celebrate he is a no fuzz... just give me some good food and some downtime and my Birthday is perfect. Well, that is exactly what we did. There is no one that deserves a big party more than him but his simple non assuming ways is what drew me to him...

When someone just is and does not need to try... because he is cool, sexy and together without trying...  now that is quite special.

Now I must leave you so I can create, construct and build my images and I can't wait to share them with you in April.

but before I leave I must say...

Happy Birthday Cake! I thank you for choosing me as your friend, lover, mother to your daughters and companion in life... the world is a better place with you in it.

As always I'm blown away by the pics especially the way you captured the color & petals of that flower. What kind is it?

And of course the last one, the magical sunset that inspires me to imagine stories that would take place in such a setting. ;)
