Bohemian Musings...

Lately I have been holding unto my camera like a lover. I have shared so much art, laughter and ideas. Met so many people with so many stories and all of it nourishes and feeds me. I gulp it all up as if my life depended on it. I love what I do and I am so passionate about it. Each day the desire to work and create grows. Untamed and free my ideas run through this cotton candy head of mine...

Many enjoyed the Alice shoot thank you for that and a few asked if I would post another behind the scenes with Alice so here it goes...

And that is how Alice fell down the rabbit hole.

Now and as the sun is setting in my town of Savannah I hope your week is a peaceful one...

The Dead Tree...

There once was a girl that spoke many dirty words...Her mother tried everything even washing her mouth. As words coated in bubbles came out of her mouth other dirty words kept stringing like garlands. The mother angry shoved roses down her throat in hopes nothing but flowers would sprout...To her surprise a dead tree grew clogging her throat.

Left in silence the girl did not speak...

Give Me One More Chance...

Felt like sharing a little poetry...

Give me one more chance at the living.
One more year to grow.
One more sunlit filled day strung together in a row.
From under this cold wet earth let me rise'.
Let me rise, let me rise...
I promise you my love, my breath, my patience.
With you I will stay as long as you do...
My hands will be your shelter.
My legs will be your bed.
Like your mother I will provide you nourishment.
Like your father I will give you light.
Just give me a chance on this day.
This day when the sun unlocks doors like skeleton keys.
Sink to your knees.
Pull back the lands of the fallen and free me from its grasp...
Give me one more chance at the living.
And I will show I am worth it for the giving.

Among The Trees...

My days have been filled with taking pictures of beautiful strangers. Strangers that quickly become friends as if by snapping my camera the relationships and experiences develop.

The other night I found myself in a room full of strangers at a party where I knew no one. I stood there under dressed it is so the curse of one that chooses to take photos. Not sure how I got there I had been snapping pictures of celebrities a bit earlier but I now stood in the middle of this room. There were so many pretty strangers in this the space where I wasn't supposed to be. I walked up to a window where I lit a cigarette as if my life depended on it and a stranger handed me a glass of champagne he said he loved my dress and that I reminded him of gypsies and fortune tellers and magic...

I smiled.
He smiled.
He asked... So can you ?!
I responded... Can I ?!
He says...Tell me the future...
I just smiled.

Truth is I am a lucky girl. One that when she goes to sleep sees images. Images that later I bring to real life. I have seen myself sleeping among the trees with the Spanish moss flying and swaying in the breeze. I see myself happy and napping like a cat in heat. Those images from the ether move me. Regardless if they are nightmares or dreams...
I wish to bring them forth.

Now with fingers sticky from the many blueberries I just ate... I hit publish...
