Grasshopper...
Last night under the covers I felt the winter's cold in my bones...winter is cruel to my senses and it violates all my sensibilities. I kept rubbing my feet like most grasshoppers do in the summertime. My knitted socks produced enough electricity to remind me you were laying right next to me and that I should seek for shelter. Afterall isn't that what grasshoppers do...

Savannah, GA...
What else could I possibly say about Savannah?! I am in love with her. Her nights are endless and her days are intoxicating. Summer arrived with all of its glory. The muggy nights make you leave the house wearing chiffon, silks and ribbons in your hair. Tiny dresses and skirts with sandals all which make me flutter around as if I am lost in some fairyland.
This city is enchanting the perfect backdrop. The perfect stage for the many stories I wish to tell through images...
We picnic in the park and we bring flowers and candles and quilts and make it home and we set up and welcome those that stop by because that is the southern thing to do...
I am going to enjoy June and everything it has to offer. For as long as I have a moment I will not hurry or hush the marshmallow clouds that linger above me. When the flowers have wilted I will pin them to my wall since everything is so fleeting...
I did the month of May like the bees do and June will be no different...
Happy first day of June and a very Happy Summer season to each of you.

About Green...
I woke up before the sunrise on a rainy morning to take pictures of the St. Patrick's Day celebration in Savannah. As I made my way through Forsyth Park to where the floats were being assembled a man walking his dog said to me " Enjoying the Irish sunshine?!" - to which I just smiled. Growing up the only things I knew about Ireland were a place called Shannan's Pub which is located on the island of Puerto Rico and where many live rock bands from stateside play. The second is Guinness which I really dislike the taste of.
Savannah, GA has been my teacher and guide. Among the many lessons she has taught me, Ireland, oddly enough is one of them as well as all things Irish. The Irish presence is palpable in Savannah and we are in the top 5 as one the biggest St. Patrick's day celebrations in the country. To follow my very first St. Patrick's Day parade and the largest party in our city.
Now, do not be upset if your Monday did not look like ours...
Next year y'all should come down and celebrate with us.
In the meantime...
“May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light,
May good luck pursue you each morning and night."

Winter Days...
While the north is getting pounded by snow it rained all weekend in Savannah. Grey cold and dreary... So I lit up all the Xmas lights in the dark day and it helped as a sort of lighthouse slash guiding light.
As of lately being busy is part of the norm. Like the Summer seasons my nights are shorter and my days so much longer. I am embracing all of it with much patience and tolerance for all things I can't control. Many big emotions that at times do not translate into paragraphs. I have been meaning to condense all these thoughts that are written in random pieces of papers and in bits of voice recorded memos on my phone so I can jot them here.

The weather could not hindered date night plans these days date night also incorporates a bit of work but it is a dance that we are learning to quickly follow as we all grow, change and evolve in our family dynamics. I went out and witnessed another country hoedown. I am far away from my Island's holiday music but this music also comes from the mountains. The Guiro has been replaced by a washboard and El Cuatro has been replaced by a Banjo but nonetheless it is folk music. Music written, performed and played by and for the people.
I also found Waldo while I was out...
I also had a visit with Santa...
Until then go ahead and try some...
Happy Monday...
