Friday Favorites...

It is Friday and I do not have one picture of snow in Savannah to show you because it never reached my corner. It slowed us down for a bit and I got to hibernate by the fireplace but no snow in sight.

Sharing a few of my favorite things this week...

The engagement shoot I did in Seattle...

My Favorite street food... Pirozhki in Seattle. They are known for their piroshky or pirozhki, which are like Russian style empanadas, calzones, stuffed naan, or whatever you call them in your area. Basically a baked bread stuffed with a variety of fillings. Also, vegetarian friendly ones are available. I had the beef a cheese and a sweet one made of chocolate both were awesome. Total cost of lunch $5.25

My favorite article about the snow storm in the South... Why the South fell apart.

And these photos...

thanks dani and kids for the last 2 pics. :)

Happy Weekend... and please stay warm wherever you might be.

Things I know...

I started the organizing and planning for a short trip that I have next weekend. I will for the first time be visiting Seattle in Washington. While I am there I will be shooting an engagement session for two people that met and fell deeply in love. So deeply in love that they stayed together for years knowing that they could not legally be bound to each other. Once upon a time it was not even a choice for them to legally marry but times have changed and it is my honor to document their history. From the moment they fell in love to the moment they decided to spend the rest of their lives together, I will be walking and documenting each step.

Things I know about Love...
There is something truly magical when two people look at each other and vow and swear to be there. There is nothing more powerful than to have another being love us unconditionally. To stand next to us when we are high and stand firmer when we are low. There is nothing more powerful than love... The bravest are the most tender; the loving are the daring. ~Bayard Taylor

Things I know about Seattle... forgive my ignorance...
It rains a lot and it will be tricky to photograph. It is cold. I never wanted to visit before because I felt Grunge music was the death to Punk Rock music and Seattle birthed the Grunge music scene. Vampires over there for some unknown reason sparkle. Really good food. Really good coffee... Hello Starbucks. I also know many of my Southern friends that have graced the pages of this blog and have made the move to Seattle. I miss them. Now I want to know what the fuzz is all about. I can't wait to share with you the images I snap while there.

Things I know about you...
You will help me with my ignorance of Seattle. I would not mind hearing a few things you know about. Since I know we are friends and I can trust you. Happy Weekend.
