Music heals my soul...

In my mind I can write songs and symphonies. At times I can hear unknown melodies, which later become full pieces of music. Which in turn makes me think I have just created a symphony even though I can't play an instrument...

This past weekend I indulged on the Savannah Stopover Music Festival in Savannah, GA. The Savannah Stopover Music Festival capitalizes on the fortune of Savannah, Georgia’s proximity to interstates 95 and 10. By default presenting traveling musicians with a welcoming place to play en route to Austin’s SXSW Music Festival. The event gave me a huge window of three days and over one hundred performances to document. I ended up documenting 30 shows, meeting too many people and having way too much fun. My partner in crime Heather (editor of Savannah magazine Do Savannah) and I kept telling ourselves all this fun should be illegal.

My illegally fun weekend...

This post is my personal invitation to you for Savannah Stopover 2015. If you ever wanted to experience SXSW this is your chance to get all the music in a smaller, historic and beautiful setting.

Happy Monday!
