Things I know...

I started the organizing and planning for a short trip that I have next weekend. I will for the first time be visiting Seattle in Washington. While I am there I will be shooting an engagement session for two people that met and fell deeply in love. So deeply in love that they stayed together for years knowing that they could not legally be bound to each other. Once upon a time it was not even a choice for them to legally marry but times have changed and it is my honor to document their history. From the moment they fell in love to the moment they decided to spend the rest of their lives together, I will be walking and documenting each step.

Things I know about Love...
There is something truly magical when two people look at each other and vow and swear to be there. There is nothing more powerful than to have another being love us unconditionally. To stand next to us when we are high and stand firmer when we are low. There is nothing more powerful than love... The bravest are the most tender; the loving are the daring. ~Bayard Taylor

Things I know about Seattle... forgive my ignorance...
It rains a lot and it will be tricky to photograph. It is cold. I never wanted to visit before because I felt Grunge music was the death to Punk Rock music and Seattle birthed the Grunge music scene. Vampires over there for some unknown reason sparkle. Really good food. Really good coffee... Hello Starbucks. I also know many of my Southern friends that have graced the pages of this blog and have made the move to Seattle. I miss them. Now I want to know what the fuzz is all about. I can't wait to share with you the images I snap while there.

Things I know about you...
You will help me with my ignorance of Seattle. I would not mind hearing a few things you know about. Since I know we are friends and I can trust you. Happy Weekend.

  1. I'm excited about your trip. My husband has a sister and some of her grown children in the Seattle area. If you find yourself in a pinch, I can probably get you some inside help. :-)

Have a great time & I'm really looking forward to the images you'll get. Reia

  3. Be prepared for brisk mornings. The air is so clean when you first go out that it's a shock to the system and flying in over the mountains will make you wish you'd visited eons, ago. The fish market will crack you up. Have a wonderful time, Amiga. Can't wait to see what you bring back for us. xoxo

  5. Don't know zip about Seattle but have always wanted to visit. Can't wait to learn more from your own trip. I love that line - "There is nothing more powerful than to have another being love us unconditionally" because it is so true.
