I seem to spot things all at once when I travel. Actually, I am easily distracted. As a child teachers would always yell at me because of my daydreaming and distractions. I was a teacher's nightmare.
Today, studies have found that people who appear to be constantly distracted have more “working memory”, giving them the ability to hold a lot of information in their heads and manipulate it mentally. This could be the reason why my brains has stored so much useful as well as useless information.
Now to follow and to no longer distract you this is what my eyes kept focusing on while I was wandering.
Old Vintage Signs...
Have a great new week...
This post is a feast for my eyes. LOVE
ReplyDeleteI knew you would. :)
DeleteBeautiful colors! I want the 7-Up and Coca-Cola signs. Happy Sunday. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteLOVE!!
ReplyDeleteHow dare those teachers yell at you.
Obviously, they had NO IDEA who you were or who you'd become :) XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I love old signs. My problem in school was that I would finish my work too quickly. In elementary school they just gave me something else to do, but after that they would get upset. No idea why, those dittos were boring and easy.

ReplyDeleteI think you could sell these as print or as posters - they're amazing, like the French ones I love so much!

ReplyDelete'As a child teachers would always yell at me because of my daydreaming and distractions. I was a teacher's nightmare.'
ReplyDeleteME TOO! All my report cards said 'too busy day dreaming, in her own world'. I think it's one of my strengths now x
These signs are amazing! What a treasure trove. Where were you traveling to find such great vintage signs?
ReplyDeleteI was totally a day dreamy kid too. It also didn't help that I have a learning disability that makes it hard for me to process verbal information. So you can imagine that my teachers were always trying to get my attention. I remember they always wanted me to get my hearing checked... yeah, perfect hearing, still can't hear you though. :P
I would love it if you would share this or another photography related post with us at Photog Show and Tell link party.
Don't know how I missed this post but I caught it when I was clearing out my old emails! I'm so glad I saw it because I LOVE vintage signs and the old buildings they are usually on. Love your pix, as usual. You have an amazing eye.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe teachers can be so shortsighted. It is as if they have no idea what to do with a dreamer! I'm so glad to know why it is good because I do have a head-full of interesting information (hoho).
Love the vintage/retro vibe on the signs!
