Independence...

Baby M is now three years old. Each fourth of July I retell her birth as if I am reading the Declaration of Independence. Her birth also represents the birth of this blog if you have read us for awhile you know this tidbit. With that said here I go...

Let's celebrate.

I went out to where the air is really salty and to where there are dunes and sea grass. I went out looking for myself and reconnected with my family. Reconnected with my sister in law and her partner, with my niece and my nephew. Reconnected with my partner, my daughters and son.  Because that is the thing about connections, relationships and family we think we know what we want and expect but life really gifts you what you need. With an open heart I took it all in and it felt so good. Medicine. Powerful and mighty...

Today I celebrate freedom...
For the willingness to ask for forgiveness of others and forgiveness of myself.
For the ability of verbalizing my needs and wants.
For recognizing what is truly important... my friends and family.
For allowing my heart to be open and love unconditionally.
For hot sleepy afternoons and late dinners outdoors underneath the stars.

Something else I just found out  I was nominated for Circle of Moms Top 25 Photography sites. No registration necessary just one click daily.

Today is Friday another chance to celebrate the summer.
 Happy Weekend.
