I went looking for signs of Christmas since it's all around me and I have yet to feel it or find it. I went looking for Christmas and I fell. Sometimes I wonder why I have such imbalance. I have fallen while standing not many have that ability. My father had a thousand names for it as I was growing up and I had a thousand excuses for my lack of balance.
Clumsy I guess would be the correct term but such word for a language lover is not enough. Not womanly enough or expressive. For someone that loves the sounds of words like sycamore, cicadas, watercress, ethereal, pastiche, ravage, femished... clumsy is just that.
Because words have power and they stick to you like gum or the silly putty that I am trying to remove from my carpet and words have other words that connect to them and those synonyms can and will drive you crazy specially if you let them echo loudly in your head.
Now I am limping. Those old words and echoes came out and I blurted it out how much of a loser I am for once again gracefully kissing the ground. I picked up my purse and the items that have fallen out of it as well as the bit of dignity and pride I had left. I sat to watch the boats cheerfully say "Merry Christmas" as everyone ohh and ahh at the passing vessels. The lights were shining on my girl's face and she said it happens to me all the time.
Words they cut you... So right there I came up with brand new words to describe our lack of balance.
Gravitational Defiance
Time Traveling Faeries
Faster Than Lighting
The World is too slow for our etheral selves.
Those who run seem to have all the fun ~Madonna
Wormhole Chasers. (From the wormhole theory)
Super-Intergalactic Princesses
I have found Christmas and I have also found a new set of words to describe those girls that travel faster than light. Hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend.
One more and please ...
Stay Sweet.

DeleteGreat pics...Santa boats. I see Christmas almost everyday since I started working part-time...I work at 'Michael's'. By the end of a shift, I am covered from head to toe with faerie dust (glitter). Where did the year go? :)
