The Tortoise and the Hare...

Time is racing by and I can barely keep up. Time is moving forward so fast and there is no sense in trying to detain it. Like the tortoise I keep moving forward slow but steady. So much going on and the summer is resembling 500 days of summer. A marathon I wasn't expected to be running and I know I  have been running for a long time. Gathering and preparing you could compare me to a squirrel but yet feel more unprepared than when I began. I keep moving forward at whatever pace this is and I hope I can make it to the finish line.

In the meantime I have photographed people I never met and discussed ideologies free of guilt. I was told I was assertive which is just a polite way of telling me... I too can take this room down. Quite confusing and puzzling to some when they meet someone that knows exactly what she needs. Emphasis on the SHE.

How dare me right?!
To speak up and not whisper.
To be decisive and secured.
To know exactly how far I am willing to go.

So I wrap myself in some pride and dignity and wear it like Coppertone after all...

This tortoise is nowhere near the finish line.

I hope your weekend was sweet...

  5. Hi Adriana!

Time has never been enough to do what we want in life. It is either being chased by time or keeping up our pace with time.
The pictures in your blog are really adorable. I very much like the picture of the orchid and the mushroom, and the little girl is so cute!
