A Book.. A Sea... A Circus...

This would be the third time that I have tried to write this post. When my mind its traveling hundreds of miles per hour it's hard to catch up with all logic and reasoning. School is back in session and this quarter is extremely demanding although I can't help loving the feeling of being submerged in books and libraries and thinking minds...

Taking time to be a good friend, a good aunt, a good mom, daughter and wife is leaving little time for myself which in turn makes me a bit anxious. So yesterday between taking Maia to her theater rehearsals and buying a few things that were needed for the house I felt an urge to drive towards the seashore...
I took the nephew along...

I was glad I did...
So happy that I gave into the notion and emotions...

The skies look as if there were on fire...

Watching the sunset staring at the horizon puts everything back into perspective...
And I watch him snap pictures with his phone and I think...
WOW...
This is my older brothers son and I am his Aunt and I so want the very best for him and his family and his children....
I want him to thrive and be who he wishes to be...
And the thought process sounds so simple but we all know that it runs so much deeper.

Mia Stella loves him...
Maia does as well...
The M&M's are stoked by all the family that have visited this past year they feel grounded and know and feel what is like to be a part of a tribe.
We all need a tribe.

Mia Stella's new hiding place...

The weekend is upon us and you would think that I would want to slow down...
Thinking about it makes me certain that we will rest and nap later on...
So much more we have to experience and my camera is taking me to the Circus next...
Can you believe all the places we have been?
I can't.

They decorated the hideout...

Enjoy your weekend peeps... Stay Sweet!

  3. Loving the pics of Tybee, it just took me back there. I miss that place, its truly magical. Mia hideout is great! I make one for Lucy with my tripod and a blanket. She is growing so fast, I think she is losing her baby face and looking like a little lady. Have a great time with your nephew I am sure you spoil him well as you did me. So happy to know you are in school. You forever evolving, love it!

  8. Great pictures...the north beach on Tybee is a favorite haunt of mine. I have to go there every once in awhile. So beautiful and peaceful. I'm planning to hit the south beach soon. I want to get some photos by that chaotic water there.

Your picture of the library shelves reminded me that I need to find a better library than the one here on Wilmington Island. This one is so small.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday. I just got back from a foggy stroll down by the marsh. Very atmospheric...
