About Sunrise... Sunsets... Birthdays...

Saturday afternoon I wanted to go to the circus but my body betrayed me when it asked for me to stop and rest. I caught a cold somewhere between Fridays sunset and Saturdays sunrise. Sometime between the glass of wine that I had with my dinner and the morning coffee. For about 16 hours my body decided to hibernate...
Like a computer I flashed an imaginary sign that said good night...

And my nose was runny and my face felt flushed and I was growing anxious because my day had come to a stop. I needed to make it to a friends 40th Birthday dinner that evening. This was just not any friend. This is the friend that took time to make me a diaper cake for my baby shower... took time to visit me at the hospital after I gave birth... Has fed me when hungry and has given me many words of encouragement when I needed them. Saturdays sunset brought a hot steamy shower and a dose of Dayquil, a cute outfit and a bit of energy.
Not even the weather could stop me...

So I went to the birthday celebration had a Mediterranean dinner at a hookah bar and grill we laughed and enjoyed it...
All in the name of friendship... all for the sake of life's sake.
Because If we can't celebrate each other on each other's birthdays then what are friends for...
That special time when we celebrate the gift of who we are with the world.
Because at the end its not the years of life but the life we live in those years...
And I wish nothing but for her to fly free and happy beyond birthdays...
Happy Birthday dear Juli.

I write to you now on an almost Sunday evening not yet sunset not quite the moon rise... My nose continues to run but the cloudy and rainy afternoon delivered exactly what I needed... easy going like the south the day went about and I have found all the rest my body needed along with some sleepy babies to cuddle with...

Have a good week peeps... Stay Sweet!
