Me... Falling in Love with Photography.
It was so easy to fall in love with this tool and medium. The thought that the portraits were being painted by the sun was nothing but pure magic. When I was out of High School which was at the early age of 15 I knew what I wanted. I wanted to be a photojournalist. I wanted to travel to all the corners of the world photographing it but life had other plans for me. Life took me in many directions except towards my original goal. When freedom and rebelliousness and the thought that I could change the world was at its peak life had laid other plans for me. But life is nothing but a full circle...
I am now back in school. I am now back into harnessing, feeding and creating images. Images that now have more soul... more life... more emotions because so do I...
I am excited and full of hope and the rebelliousness has turned into a well oiled machine. One that understands and can see things clearer. One that understands aesthetics, cliches and that at times images for the sake of shock value are nothing but that.
I can now pick my teachers and guides with wisdom and with the hopes they too awake that passion within... A perfect exchange.
Moving along...It is almost Friday. This weekend holds the promise of pie baking, picnics and family time. Time for me to take my camera out to play while my mind wanders and my imagination runs wild... Visualizing the images one day it will create. I might no longer be a teen but the future looks promising...
Stay Sweet Peeps!
“To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” |
