I feel grounded and with purpose. Sunlight is pouring in and the cool breeze which keeps my windows open in this usually hot south. I look around the house... our house and see children playing. I am
I feel love but I also feel it all...
This summer was life changing and I reflect upon it as if in mourning. I think of all the beautiful people I saw and the ones my husband got to meet. The ones I have learned to love fiercely and again wonder... Who am I to have so much?
Then, I quickly remember that I feel grounded and with purpose and it is not this summer but a series of endless summers that brought me here... To this house... where the windows are open in this usually hot weathered south.
I have learned to gather, store and stash all that is important and of value... While I keep my heart, mind and eyes open. The summer seems to me like a conclusion to a year. Autumn is ideal for reflection to harvest all the fruits of my work and efforts.
I realize its not me in mourning it is the Autumn season...
As it surrenders the warmth of the sun and the way it reflects its light.
Sunday Evening...
Pecan Rice is a hybrid that hails from Louisiana. Long Grain Brown Rice, Pecan Style is chewy and fragrant with a nutty-buttery flavor. When Pecan Style Rice is cooked it has a distinctive aroma similar to popcorn. I served it with a side of stuffed Chicken Breast Bacon Wrapped. I know it might not be the healthiest ... but the husband was stoked about the menu and so was Jorge and we all loved it. The not so healthy awesome bacon wrapped smothered in cream of chicken stuffed with Swiss and tavern ham ...
Chicken awesomeness...
The rice has been bred to be extremely aromatic it has a rich, nutty flavour which is indeed reminiscent of pecans. Easy to cook and yummy...
there was also some garlic bread... |
There you have it the end to my reflective Sunday on a house with open windows on an unusually hot south with a girl that wonders...
Who am I to have so much?
Happy Monday Peeps!
