Blaming it on...

It's hard these days to sit and type and I am going to place all the blame on the summer season. I am one of those that get blinded by shiny and pretty things. Between the sunsets and the impromptu gatherings, the outings, the need for blowing bubbles and swimming, writing continues to take the backseat on this journey. I know soon enough all of this summer madness will be over.

We will be back to be ruled by the clock. By making it on time and before the last school bell rings. The days will solely be marked by Fridays and Mondays. The nostalgia of drinking something iced cold while barefoot on a hot summer day will kick in.

So I am taking my time planning what will mark my almost end of the summer fiesta.  I want nothing less than summer magic. A night filled with laughter, music and beautiful faces framed in candlelight. That way when the winter arrives and the dark of days commence I can always look back at that one summer night. Then I will blame the winter for being so cruel.
