About The Ordinary...

On a ordinary day when you least expect it extraordinary things can happen to us. On any day like every other when we go about drinking our coffee, trying to make it on time I try to shake it all off.  Quickly this ordinary sunset turns into summer rain I decide its time to breathe it in.

And like the natives of this land they danced under the rain as if their life depended on it. They danced and jumped and splashed and right there I find it, I see it, I can taste it. Happiness.

Today I wake up and it's not an ordinary day. Today I wake up to the news in Colorado. Today my heart aches for those who felt happy, safe and free but quickly found themselves in the middle of a nightmare. Today I cry for the universe. Today I pray we all find the connection and see our similarities and learn to accept each other. Today I hope we give life true meaning and the respect it deserves. Today's event I hope never repeats itself.

Take time this weekend to reflect and be thankful.
Take time to enjoy the sweet life...

  9. These photos. I die.
And your words are so beautiful friend.
Such devastatingly sad news out of Colarado. I cannot believe this happened and can't seem to tear myself away from the stories.

  10. I haven't updated myself much about the Colorado shootings, been too busy, but I read briefly about it.. sounds awful and I think we hear too much about similar events these days. Usually a miserable person who's been neglected in the past somehow.. it's so sad.
    Your photos are lovely!!!

  11. I agree...nothing better than soaking up some dirty rain splashes to remind us that life is far too short to indulge in crazy moments. Love the photography! awesome:)

  12. Wow..beautiful pics...I was really sad and shocked too about what happened in Colorado. It definitely is a surreal feeling recognizing beauty at moment when you know there's also so much pain and sorrow in the world.

  13. I know, I know. These things are so painful so awful. One of my Favorite quotes of all time comes from the film contact. Where the alien says to Jodie Foster that we are an interesting species 'capable of such beautiful dreams and such horrible nightmares' or something like that. It's so true. Whenever terrible tragedy strikes and i'm asking why?? i'm so touched to see the outpouring of sadness and love that comes from so many people. I believe that we are inherently good but sometimes we loose our way.

These photos slay me by the way!
