My mind is doing nothing but stringing starfish garlands...
By the yards, by the feet and by the meter...
I imagine beautiful ribbons dancing in the wind and with the sea as our backdrop.
Mia Stella's celebration of her arrival its long overdue but the seasons specially this past winter made us reflect inwards... Now, we can finally with starry eyes celebrate life...the earth and her.
And in two weeks and one day to be exact...
Friends and family are coming from far and near and I can't help but to feel happy and so very excited.
I am one of those that visualizes and imagines how a day will go... Not the outcome of trivial things like who will show up and what will I wear but more of the what could be... I imagine things like laughter, beautiful sunsets, good conversation and in my visualizations and as my mind is wondering I always hear music...
Soulful and beautiful music...
Music runs through my veins... my father was a singer and songwriter during the late 50's and 60's and he was quite happening once upon a time... He inculcated my love for music... melody...harmony and rhymes...At times it felt as if he would instill the scales within me... note by note... chord by chord...verse by verse...The guy could play an acoustic guitar like it was no ones business...he could also sing and write with great emotion.
I can't play any instruments not even the maracas... I tried my hand at the Piano...per my father's request and he hired a German teacher that to me had a funny accent while she spoke Spanish and I of course was only 9 years old and completely fascinated with her... but then I did not see it ... I played the drums as a teen... Full of angst... but not really because I just banged at the drums along to the Sex Pistols and The Misfits and no one but me could really stand it... I even tried the didgeridoo but for some reason my lungs and brain could not make the connection...
But I continue to hear the music...
In my mind I can write songs and symphonies and sometimes... I can hear some unknown melody which later become full pieces of music which makes me think I have just created a symphony even if I can't play an instrument...
So for that reason...
I will stick to what I know and I will simply just string hundreds of starfish in a garland...by the yards...by the feet...by the meter... and will hang ribbons that will wave and dance in the wind... Gather as many lovely people as I can and we will celebrate life... and just like that we will create memories- which one day will sound like symphonies and only then we will have created music...
Happy Weekend Peeps!!!
