A random trip... two...one...today... tomorrow...

Almost two years ago I travelled to New Orleans, Louisiana to visit a friend of mine.
I loved New Orleans the people, music and food. The energy of the town is so thick, palpable so mystical.
New Orleans is gracious and the people are so hospitable they really want for you to have a good time.
Laissez les bons temps rouler you can say that phrase a hundred times and you will just sound sexier.

My NOLA friend Di is one of the most beautiful, charismatic, creative and energetic souls you'll ever meet.
She took us all over town and we soaked it all up... we let the good times roll...

The nights were beautiful... we made them more beautiful...

Her love for life is contagious and with that comes a beautiful garden.

When I was in NOLA I knew I wanted to bring back to Savannah the perfect souvenir.
Some of her clippings from her amazing garden and today this beauty bloomed for the 1st time.
This is the best gift she could've ever given me.The gift that keeps on giving...

The days are beautiful and you are so beautiful...

Forward...
One year ago...
Pregnant with Mia...Maia's fingers says #3 because she said there were really 3 girls in the picture.

She was right.... she is so beautiful...

Today...
Both Di and I have lost siblings... boys that were both young and fathers to some amazing kids. Today we continue moving forward filled with memories and with a greater love and appreciation for life...

 Life is beautiful...

Tomorrow...
I will host the Martini party since I couldn't last week because of the stomach flu madness...
tomorrow I will open my home to some of my sweet friends...
Redo a moment they are ready available to you... find them...

Don't miss the opportunity of reliving a moment in time...

Later...
I will come back to share my weekend with you... Celebrate... enjoy your friends and family...
rejoice in the birth and rebirth of the season...

The weekend will be beautiful...
Stay Sweet peeps...

  1. Hi Adriana! Hopping by from BlogFrog. Love your beautiful blog, both the words and pictures! I agree that NOLA is amazing and so are it's people. I have several good friends from there and the are the most fun loving, generous, happy, inspiring people to be around:)

  2. How wonderful to have been able to go to NOLA! Looks like you had a fabulous time and the beautiful pictures toprove it.
Loved the sister poem, too. I forgot to look but did you write it? Langston Hughes was an interesting choice. I wish I was more creative in the literary department to understand what it is about.
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  3. You are just so pretty in those pictures and i like how your daughter said 3 girls, smart girl.
When we went to New Orleans in july I thought I was in hell, the humidity about killed us and our car got broken into while we went in the hotel to get a room, that fast it happened. the hotel was beautiful and the nicest weve ever been in. it was sad, my husband had worked extra hours to have the money to play with, we had to go get a side window installed for our trip home to Colorado instead.
    I wrote you a book didnt I?

These pics are beautiful. Why is it that orchids seem so magical?

  6. Funny that when I lived in New Orleans, I thought I didn't enjoy myself as much as I wanted to.

But years later, as I remember NOLA, I sure do miss the sounds of Zydeco music spilling out of bars. The quiet streetcar ride home down St. Charles, the friends I've never talked to again since the storm...

    Thanks for such lovely pictures.
